Klaboo (one who connects things, or nail star) - Kwakiutl name, given to him by Beau Dick.
Devries - adopted in 1976 by the DeVries family
Giihlgiigaa is of Haida decent born into the Tsiij Git'anne Eagle Clan, living in Vancouver since 2010. In 2010 Giihlgiigaa setup the Cedar Weaving Circle Facebook group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/cedarweavingcircle and has been moderating the content and membership since then.
By 2016 Giihlgiigaa has been writing and facilitating grants full-time mostly through First Peoples Cultural Council to teach cedar weaving projects such as hats, baskets, and other small projects. Giihlgiigaa's personal website is https://ithkilgaa.blogspot.com/

Ross brings up to 40 years of First Nations Multi-traditional, cultural, ceremonial, and, spiritual experiences to the association. Also, Ross brings 33 years of Group Facilitation; with 1 to 1- Group/ Holistic Healing counselling along with First Nations Men’s Domestic Violence Groups.
Ross assists with cedar weaving instruction while sharing First Nations Multi Cultural Teachings, values, and beliefs. The combination of weaving cedar with verbal teachings is a known, proven method of sharing, teaching Holistic Healing for First Nations peoples.
This approach starts the process of undoing, while healing. The holistic impacts and effects of Fear based teaching and shaming with multi-generational trauma suffered by First Nations Children at the Indian Residential Schools. The approach of physical, creative culture is lhawet, the Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish) word for healing. To teach and learn in a good way. To build good self esteem with confidence in the self and our ways of life……For Starters….
